Quick entry, and this should have gone up earlier: I see the Nets winning in 6 and the Spurs winning in 6.  I suggest taking the spread on the road and the moneyline at home.  These will be close games but there is far too much experience on both teams to lose.  I’ll follow up in a few days when the games are shaping up.

I ended up having a very good NCAA tournament. The game that failed me the most was Georgetown’s lose to OSU and Texas losing in the second round.

This was also a terrible week, local sports wise, with Gilbert Arenas going down with a fluke knee injury last night against the bobcats. Christ — the Wizards season is officially over.

Anyway, I’ll be in London for a week, so no blog updates for a bit.

Well, I’m back, and in pog form.  Sort of.  Here are my picks for tomorrow, Thursday the 14th for the NCAA:

Maryland moneyline (-330). I just don’t see Maryland losing, and neither should you.  Good for a parlay with other moneylines around 250 that you feel confident in.

Washington State (-6.5) over Oral Roberts.

Louisville moneyline (-250) over Stanford.

GW money (+150) over Vanderbilt.

More coming later.  By the way, I have about a trillion blogs now — PBH, Alec’s ‘Other’ Blog, Sexy and Disgraceful, this one, and now, PBH2 (because Blogger sucks). It’s hard to keep track of but I’ll keep on all of them as best I can.

A 1-0 Big Ten team (Iowa) is an UNDERDOG (+1) against Toledo, a 0-1 MAC Team (who lost to MISSOURI STATE). Uh, I just put 40 bucks on it, it’s at 3:30.  Something smells fishy but it seriously doesn’t make sense.

I bet almost all of my money on West Virginia/Pitt to go under 53, and 5 dollars on a throw away parlay with 1 to 12 odds.  Guess what won! The throw away.  So I’m back in business.  Obviously the West Virginia / Pitt game went over 53 points basically by halftime.  But I got my other parlay right! Houston/Chicago over 180, GS/Sac over 200, Ohio/Akron under 38 and Ohio winning by 4.5. If you do the math and bet say, 15 more dollars on that then the WVU/Pitt game, I would be about 200 dollars richer. Bollucks.  Or whatever.

But, tonight is looking VERY, VERY promising in the NBA. The lines are not too favorable, but the money lines are excellent.  Spurs, Suns, Cavs, Lakers, Mavs, and Heat play considerably weaker teams at home (with the exception being the Mavs at the Grizzlies).

So this is the current plan: 7.50 on the Spurs (Moneyline), 7.5 on the Suns (Moneyline), 7.5 on the Lakers (Moneyline), 5 on the Cavs (Moneyline), 5 on the Mavs (5 point spread), 7.5 on the Jazz (who are underdogs but I will bet they will win on the moneyline). That is 40 on single games.  The rest will be parleys on these games that I’ll figure out as the day progresses.

Well, I had a bad night last night. Bad enough that 80 turned into 41. So, tonight, I’m going for broke. Check the wagers and anxiously watch me blow what remains:

Fuck! I was just a few points away from going up a good amount — I had a ten pick teaser that would have won 50 dollars on a 5 dollar bet, and a single bet that would have won 5 dollars on a 5 dollar bet that rested on the SA Spurs/Houston Rockets game. With 2 minutes left in the game, the Spurs were up 82-73 against the Rockets. The total was for 178 and there were 2 minutes left to go in the FOURTH QUARTER. 3 points in the final 2 minutes of the fourth quarter of a relatively close game is almost certainly a lock. But, behold, only one point was scored in the final minutes to make the final score 82-74. That started my anger as I ended up losing 10 dollars intead of making 55.

This only perpetuated some poor choices trying to recapture what I lost — 12.50 on Gonzaga, 5.79 on Davydenko, and 7.50 on Robredo — that I only ended up losing. That’s another 25.79. I ended up 5 dollars under where I started: 77 dollars, when It looked like I would go up to approximately 200 dollars.
